Posted 01/10/2006 - Hanging Out on Chair 2 - Tuesday was a challenging day at Big Mountain as heavy snow impacted power lines to the resort causing the lifts to open late. Power was intermittent throughout the day when the lower lifts were finally opened, causing some to have to hang out for a bit on the lifts. It was the kind of day that lift riders needed 'either a good book or a good rope.' The mountain ultimately closed early while power issues were sorted out. Meanwhile the snow continued to fall setting up Wednesday for epic conditions!
